House
The Elwood Opera House was
constructed in 1887 in Elwood, Indiana. The building
has served as home to several different
organizations. It was used as an opera house
until 1905, when the Opera Prior to the
Masons' purchase of the building and interior
reconstruction, the building consisted
of five separate areas at street level, and was
home to a variety of retail businesses.
The second floor had three professional business
offices. The opera house was on
the second and third floors of the building. The Masons
remodeled a room, called the Blue Room,
for ritualistic ceremonies. This room remains in

carpeting.
Columbus Ghost Trackers conducted a paranormal investigation of the
Elwood Opera House on June 27, 2009.

while in the building, including:
seeing shadow people, two apparitions, opening and
closing of French doors leading to the
outside balcony, and a strong paranormal sensation
in a particular area of the
building.
